Reason #1) Before the concert, the four of us went to a place called The Counter to eat. If you've never eaten there, I pity you. You build your own custom hamburgers, selecting the size, buns, cheese, sauces, and toppings. And the fries are to die for. They quite possibly may be some of the best French fries ever. This meal was a great way to start the evening.
Reason #2) The concert itself was amazing. Truly, it was a privilege to be there. Here is the link for an article on the performance: Wilkins, Parker 'Rach' the House It should be known that Rachmaninoff's 2nd Piano Concerto is quite possibly my favorite piece of all time. Needless to say, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Plus, there were some good encores!
Reason #3) I spent the night with my uncle and aunt. This means earlier to bed, comfier mattress, and more time to sleep. Oh, it was wonderful.
Reason #4) Breakfast was had at a restaurant called the Dodo. Yes, I know that food takes up two reason, but the food was just that good! The sausage was gigantic and delicious, and the hashbrowns also hit the spot. I love food!
All in all, the weekend was scrumtrulescent. Hopefully there are many more similar in my future! Yay food!
